Through School Council feedback, we have said that our website could be made even better if there were links to other websites that could help us with our home learning. We hope to develop this in future so it either has its own page, or space on each class's page, but in the meantime here are some helpful links to websites that can help with maths and literacy learning!
In assembly this week our theme is...
Our year 6s were terribly excited to go down to Sherborne Abbey on Tuesday 1st May along with schools from around the area to meet none other than the Queen! Visiting Sherborne on her tour of the South-West, along with her husband Prince Phillip, the royal entourage and lots of newspaper reporters, the Queen came to see a very special tea party that was thrown in honour of her Diamond Jubilee year.
The year 6s made special 'tea party' hats, and enjoyed a party atmosphere while waiting for Her Majesty to arrive. When she did, the year 6s not only met her but spoke to her as well! It was a very special morning, and one that all who went said they'd remember for the rest of their lives.
On Wednesday, 2nd May, The year 4s played their first major football tournament against other schools from the Sherborne area - and they came fourth out of eight teams! Well done year 4s!
The year 5 and 6 girls also played in the tournament, and also came fourth - well done girls!

Children receiving their certificates in our Book Week assembly:
A big congratulations to all the children who have achieved 25 and 50 stickers in their achievement folder! This means they have tried their best in their learning, and have followed our rights and responsibilities really well.
It looks like it won't be long before we start to achieve 75 and 100 stickers!
