About our School and The PTA - Code name ASSA!

    What is ASSA?
ASSA stands for ‘All Saints Schools Association’ and it is the Parents / Teacher association for the school.  All parents and guardians with children at the school are all automatically members of this Association.
However, these parents & guardians are represented by an executive board which comprises of parent and teacher volunteers -  a wonderful group of people who work tirelessly to raise money to purchase goods and fund activities that enhance the children’s experience at school. The current committee is made up of 17 parents, 2 Teachers and Anne Crumpler, the Head Teacher. They meet approximately 8 times a year, including an annual AGM where all parents and guardians are invited to attend to review the activities and financial results of the previous year.

    ASSA Objectives
ASSA brings you and your children many wonderful events each year and provides equipment and support that enriches the school in many ways.
    1. Our primary objective is to raise money for the school via events and sponsorships. Previous events have included Auctions, Fashion Shows, Dinner & Dances, Bingos, Jumble Sales, Quizzes, Christmas and Summer Fairs to name a few!
We raise approximately £3,000 to £4,000 (profit) per year and this money goes directly to buying items and providing services for our children’s enjoyment and education at school. Here are some examples of what ASSA have provided: Books, sports & playground equipment, computer visualizers, musical instruments, musical stereos & picnic benches. We also fund the ongoing maintenance of the school swimming pool and theatre visits.
    2. Our secondary objective is to support the school by helping out at school events, for example by providing tea and coffee at school productions. We also assist with Friday’s Golden Time and organize and fund the children’s Christmas, Easter and Summer Parties.
Since 2009/10 we have raised funds to build a new adventure play ground specifically aimed at the Key Stage 2 children (Rubies and Sapphires).  We reached our target, and the adventure playground has been open since Summer 2011.
