Cooking has played a huge role in our learning over the latter part of this term, from baking bread rolls when learning about where ingredients come from (linked to The Little Red Hen) to the space themed foods that we created and cooked especially for the cafe.
Alongside this we worked hard to create a beautiful art display from a range of taught techniques (e.g. marbling planets with paint, looking at Van Gogh's Starry Night painting, paper mache planets) but also through our own child initiated ideas (such as paper plate aliens and shooting stars).
Check out our showstopping FOOD ALIENS! These were set as the home-learning project for Diamonds and Topaz classes and created a wonderful display at our Space Cafe - definitely one of the talking points!
