Sapphires had a go at making their own desserts for a French patisserie. The children planned out their dessert and translated their ingredients from English to French using French dictionaries. They then had to use teamwork to bake their creations which ranged from choux pastry to chocolate bowls! We assessed the children on their team building skills as well as their skills for the different baking techniques.
Who knew you could make choux pastry in the microwave? We attempted it and achieved it with great success!
Our successful chocolate bowls. Try them at home!
All you need to do is melt some chocolate in a bowl, blow up some balloons and dip them in the chocolate. Leave them to harden, then cut the balloon as shown in the video.
