What's On This Week

News

16th January 2017

Dear Parents / Carers,

We have enjoyed another great week in school. However, some of the children were a tad disappointed that we had no snow to play in (the staff too to be honest!) This week we welcomed a new pupil to the Ruby Class – Jack Slade. Jack and parents have recently moved into the area and we would like to take this opportunity to wish well in their new home. We are also delighted to announce the birth of Thea’s baby sister – Henrietta. The staff are eagerly awaiting cuddles!

Parent letters

Please find attached copies of the following parent letters:

  •          What’s on this Week W/C 16/01/2017
  •          Head Lice Letter
  •          Safewise Open Day
  •          Bishops Caundle Bell Ringing Open Session

Gentle Reminders….

Head Lice: Unfortunately head lice are back in school. Please do check your children’s hair and follow the treatment instructions in the attached letter.

End of Day Pick-up: Please ensure that you contact the school if you have instructed another family member or friend to collect your child. Simply inform the class teacher or contact the school office. We appreciate your help with this matter.

Bell Ringing Open Session at Bishops Caundle Church: There is a fabulous opportunity to ‘try your hand’ at Bell Ringing  this Saturday Morning at 10am at an Open Morning in the Village Church. It is advised that children aged  9 and above will be able to actually ring the bells. However, the younger children are welcome to watch and see how it all works. Please refer to the attached flyer.

Bishops Caundle Park: The Parish Council have asked me to pass on the following notice:

‘The play area has been gradually repaired and improved over the last year and is about to have further work done to improve the fencing and equipment. It is hoped to form a small group to lead a fund raising initiative to obtain more equipment. We would like to invite anyone interested – parents, children, everyone –  to the January 2017 meeting on Tuesday 17th at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. If it is easier, bearing in mind bedtimes, Mrs Harris (Parish Clerk) will be in the Village Hall from 6pm onwards so if you would prefer an informal chat earlier in the evening, any comment can be reported to the later meeting. To make it even easier, pop into school on Tuesday 17th January for a quick informal chat with Mrs Harris.’

Enjoy the weekend

Many thanks & kind regards,

All Saints
