Art Showcase

Learning & Support

Today, in reception, we used lots of skills to create our own marble art attack!
First we had to select red and green paint.
Then we had to cut around the apple.
We placed our apple into a tray and rolled a marble to create a paint art attack!
We then chose a leaf and stuck it at the top!

Our Art Learning Journey...
In year 1, we have been learning about Piet Mondrian...
We have learnt about primary colours, mixing and tints...
We planned our own abstract art based on our castle theme and using Piet Mondrian's style...
We used a paint program to create our own Abstract art based on Piet Mondrian...
We have now started learning about a new artist called Paul Klee... Please see below our own artwork around the theme of castles (based on Paul Klee)...
As part of our new topic, we are exploring countries from around the world, with a focus on China.
Here the children looked at the design on a Willow Pattern Plate, which features images that tell a story for China.  They then used blue biro to draw their own stories ideas onto paper plates, including the story of the Magic Paintbrush (which we have been learning in our English lessons!)
China-Inspired Art Work
This week has been all about using flowers as a stimulus and using different media to sketch, draw, paint our observations...
