Enrichment 'Pop Up' Restaurant

1st February 2018
Year 5 and Year 6 children have worked extremely hard over the last 4 weeks to prepare an evening for our school's community.  This was to raise money for their residential trips and 'hoodies', that they would like to purchase.  During the 4 weeks, they have learnt about budgets, money, food around the world, persuasive writing, cooking, entertainment and lots more.  They named the evening 'World Cuisine' and what an incredible event it was!  They didn't have an unhappy customer!
A big well done to Miss Scott who masterminded the whole evening as well as those 16 wonderful children who took part.  Their focus, work ethic and politeness were impeccable and we are very proud of them.
The following email has been received:

I would just like to say I was truly amazed by the dinner last night. Your planning and organization was outstanding. The children's level of participation and commitment was again outstanding. Their attentiveness to service was a joy and meal was delicious. Congratulations to you all.

Another email just received:
Another very big THANK YOU to all for such an enjoyable occasion last evening. From the moment I was greeted hospitably at the door to the moment I was waved goodbye, I was overwhelmed by the wonderful way I was looked after and thoroughly spoilt.
The welcome, the service, the food, the entertainment, the company - all were perfect and combined to make this a yery memorable evening.
Thank you Miss Scott, thank you staff and THANK YOU children.
If ever I needed proof as to why I am a Foundation Governor, then this is it!
Well done to all. I now look forward to seeing those end of year hoodies, so well deserved.
All good wishes
