All Saints Sporting Spectaculars this half term

All sports are valued highly within All Saints Primary School, and we now have a very special board to highlight our journey and celebrate sporting success.  Please feel free to come in and read our special journey book, or look at our display, which is displayed in our entrance hall.

We are very fortunate to have teaching staff who volunteer, and a sports coach (Mr Rich), who provide lunch time and after school clubs for all our children.  We have more clubs on offer this half term that have been more accessible to children.  They have been:

  • Football (Y3+) and (Y1 and 2 football special with Miss Scott)
  • Tag Rugby (Y3+)
  • Netball (Y3+)
  • Hockey (Y3+)

Our Achievements already this half term:

  • We have become a link to North Dorset Netball Club
  • We have played against Thornford and Sherborne Abbey.  Well done to Max, Esme and Trinity who were players of the match.
  • We took part in the tag Rugby Tournament

o   Yetminster- W 2-4

o   Bradford Abbas L 4-2

o   Buckland Newton W 3-4

  • We now have sporting awards every half term.  This half term they went to Max Rendell, Brooke Chandler, Archie Harris and Georgia Bond.
  • We also have trained Year 5 children as play leaders.  This gives the younger children a range of well organised, exciting games to play at lunch times.
  • Re-organised our sports resources, thank to our sport leaders from Sapphires

If anyone feels they could help develop our sports even more, please inform Mrs Regan, Miss Hosegood or Mrs Wookey.

Thanks for a great half term!
