In Art this term, Ruby Class have been exploring shading and tinting techniques. We investigated a range of objects and learned how artists create a three-dimensional effect by adding shadows to some areas and highlights where light reflects. The children began by arranging and sketching their own collection of objects before carefully composing their final pieces. They then used their understanding of shading and tinting to bring their artwork to life. Attached are some of the wonderful paintings the children completed.
