Ancient Egypt Day
Rubies class had the fantastic Neil in school with us today for a full day of Time Travelling workshops on Ancient Egypt!
We started the day by exploring what Archeologists do, and role-played discovering some ancient artefacts and an Egyptian Tomb.
Later on we spent some time exploring different artefacts that had been brought in from the Museum, as well as learning how to write our names in hieroglyphics on some real papyrus!

In the afternoon, we role-played the steps of preserving and mummifying a body for the afterlife. There were a lot of steps and a lot of different jobs for this. We finished off the day by performing and explaining the mummifications rituals to Sapphires Class.
