All Saints Primary School is very proud to have its own heated outdoor swimming pool, where the children enjoy DAILY swimming lessons in the 2nd half of the summer term. Each child grows in confidence and ability from their first year in school and ultimately learns to love the water.
The pool's dimensions are 10 metres x 6 metres and is 0.8 metres deep. It is heated at a constant temperature of 28 degrees making it viable to swim even when the sun is not shining.
The pool is completely funded by the school's PTA and parental contributions and we are extremely fortunate that one of our Governors, who has run his own swimming pool business for many years, takes ownership of the daily management of the pool.
The teaching staff are fully trained school swim instructors and annually receive updated lifesaving training.
In the summer term we run a weekly early morning Water Polo Club for KS2 children and Water Games for KS1 Children. These clubs are very popular with the children, despite having to be in school at 8.15am!
The children absolutely love this element of their education and each year they demonstrate their swimming prowess to their parents at our Swimming Celebration Gala.
