Dear Parents / Carers,
The children have enjoyed a fabulous week of celebration. The candlelit Carol Service was a night to remember – thank you for supporting this special event which gives our children the chance to reflect on the true message of Christmas. The singing was beautiful and the children’s reading was clear and confident.
Key Stage 2 enjoyed their disco on Wednesday, yesterday Santa visited the Christmas lunch and the children partied all afternoon. Thank you to our ASSA members for their time, energy and enthusiasm towards the fabulous lunch for the children and to everyone for the generous donations.
The wonderful hampers have been won raising a grand total of £525 for the school. Dance Crew performed a Flash mob this morning whilst we celebrated good attendance, independent reading and our 100 Badge winners. There has been much Christmas cooking, card and decoration making, so huge thanks are due to the staff team who have worked so hard to provide magical times for the children. This has culminated in a brilliant surprise staff panto today. The audience was truly spellbound as staff members revealed their singing and acting talents! As Alix commented afterwards ‘That was awesome!’
How lucky we are to witness the spirit and joy of Christmas in the eyes of our children. They continue to amaze and inspire us with their achievements and joy of life. I am so proud of our school which is built on the hard work and commitment of our whole community and despite challenges, being Headteacher at All Saints remains a privilege.
We are sadly saying goodbye to Hannah Parker Taylor who is relocating to sunnier climes and the Thorne family following their move out of catchment. Tyler Gold is also moving away. We wish them all much happiness in their new homes and schools and hope they will remember their time at All Saints.
Enjoy some wonderful family time over Christmas and we all send you our very best wishes for 2017. Looking forward to working with you all again in the New Year - Children return to school on Wednesday 4th January.
Kind regards
All Saints
PS Please check Diamond PE bags as it appears a few pairs of PE shorts have gone awry!
