What a wonderful harvest walk to St Laurence's Church, Howell. The whole school set off on what is now our traditional Harvest Walk. We strolled across fields, collected conkers, met two horses, climbed many stiles and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. The sun shone for us and we were able to see many varieties of Autumn fruits and fruits of the harvest.
As we approached the church, we heard the bells being rung especially for us! It was lovely to meet with Parents and Grandparents there and of course Vicar Richard who was to lead our service. During the service, the children presented a little of their learning about the Harvest then enjoyed a quick drink and biscuit before making the return walk to school. A huge thank you to our volunteer parent and grandparent walkers, Vicar Richard and members of Holwell Church for decorating the church, ringing the bells and clearing the footpath next to the church. Please do pop in and see our Harvest display in the school hall. Thank you children for your donations for Sherborne food bank.
