Pupil premium is the name of the fund given directly to schools to support pupils who are in receipt of Free School Meals, who are Looked After Children who are in public care,or young people whose parents are members of the Armed forces.
Pupil Premium may be used to purchase resources or provision that will directly help your child achieve their academic potential. Examples of this are: funding additional Teaching Assistance hours in the classroom so that pupil/adult ratios are smaller; small group or one to one intervention by Teacher or Teaching Assistants; financial help with trips or purchasing learning resources to use at home etc.
The Governors have agreed that every child on Pupil Premium should be entitled to one branded sweatshirt a year and access to £100 to help with trips and other materials. Please contact our Headteacher to discuss this. The Headteacher will also decide how the remainder of the money in spent in the best interest of your child.
