A massive well done to:
Esme Dodd (3rd place)
Natasha Newman (runner up)
Madeleine Whittle (winner)
These children, as well as many others in our school, have all participated in a recycling competition. This competition was organised by The Lions Club and we were very lucky to have Bill and Colin come into our school to judge! They were amazed at the amazing creations and our school display.
The children all thoroughly enjoyed taking part, where they thought carefully about the theme - your rubbish can be someone elses treasure.
This was also supported by our amazing school christmas fair on Friday 22nd November 2013, where two children, Chloe and Sophie, raised a staggering £115 for our Uganda penpals - the two children created posters, letters and organised the whole event from beginning to end. What a fantastic idea of using 'used' toys and books ... £115 later truly shows that these 'used' items definitely were someone elses treasure!
