On the Friday 29th April All Saints Primary travelled to Sherborne Abbey to take part in the Year 3 and 4 Football Tournament.
Our first match was against Sherborne Abbey and we played really well. We lost 1-0. We then played Buckland Newton and we had a fantastic game with some great team work involved, winning 1-0. After that we went through to the Cup semi-finals and we played Yetminster and we won 4-0. An outstanding game was played by all and we were able to display brilliant football, with some amazing slide tackles. Then we played against Thornford in the final of the cup. It was a tough game but All Saints stayed on top form keeping the football in their half for most of the game. When the final whistle was blown it was 0-0.
We went to penalties and Yaz was up first gently placing the ball into the goal. Thornford then also scored, Bradley took a shot with a near miss, Thornford then scored. Oscar then took one and scored keeping us in the game. Thornford then had a shot again with a near miss causing it to go down to sudden death. Lucas took a penalty for us and placed it in the goal. Thornford had a shot with a near miss, leaving All Saints on top. We won the cup!
Amazing football was played by all, Bradley team captain, showed some amazing skill up front with some fantastic corners. Yaz also showed great skill taking the ball through players and scoring goals for the team.
Riley, a year 3, was an outstanding defender making some amazing tackles. William came on pitch with great confidence and showed some great defensive qualities. Oscar played some fantastic football dribbling past lots of players and scoring for the team. Lucas played some great football out on pitch but also played in goal, ending up not having to do much. Max and Aidan were brilliant in defence keeping that ball away from goal and up the other end of the pitch. Isobel was a great team player making some good tackles and making some good passes up the pitch.
