Home Learning
In Ruby Class children will receive both Maths and English home learning on a Friday to be handed in on Monday morning. This work reinforces or introduces the children to the work they are undertaking in class. If children are finding this tricky they will be given the opportunity to discuss it with myself or Miss Amor during registration and arrange to join homework club with myself on a Tuesday Lunchtime.
Spellings
Spellings will be given to children on a Monday for a test on Friday. Please encourage your child to practice these - 5 minutes everyday is most effective. Your child will be taught strategies to help them learn their spellings within the first few weeks of term. Such as spelling pyramids, diamonds, rainbow writing, look-write-cover-check, speed writing etc. Please remind them of these methods!
