Over the last few weeks in our science lessons, Year 1 have been exploring different materials and their properties. We decided to make some superhero capes and suggested the properties a good cape would need to have...

The children made their capes in teams and suggested ways to test them. Today, we used different methods to test each aspect of our cape designs. It was very interesting to discover that there wasn't any one cape that was 'the best,' although some materials were definitely better overall than others.
