This week Diamonds and Topaz class enjoyed a Castles day on Friday 17th September!
We spent the day learning about the history of Sherborne Old Castle, and honing our map-reading and map-making skills by building models of castles and then creating our own symbols and maps.

We had wanted to visit Sherborne Old Castle together, but unfortunately it is currently closed to Educational Visits. However, it is still open for families visiting on their own, so if you get the chance to take your children to visit, we would highly recommend it!
In the meantime, enjoy this video of Spot the Dog (our class mascot) on a romp around the castle grounds. The children LOVED playing 'Can you spot Spot?'
