We love to learn how to write and tell stories through story making.
We have a special vocabulary board, which we are always adding to - and when we are writing our own stories, we put the lights on to show were are writing fabulous stories based on our story making.
Our current story making is: How to trap a stone giant which will help us write our own instructions - how to trap a rebellious pirate
Our current whole class text is: Pirates love underpants. We have pirate challenges to complete using this text as a stimulus in super skills. These activities range from filming stories on iPads to creating our own sequel.
We retell stories through drama freeze frames, puppets, on our bellies on cushions, in our role play area, on our story making chair... and lots of other ways...
