What's On This Week

News

28th November 2016

Dear Parents / Carers,

We are now in full Christmas mode with wonderful Nativity rehearsals taking place, Christmas decorations being organised and Christmas crafts being created in class… it is all so exciting!

Here follow a few highlights of the week:

Ruby Class Celebration Assembly:  Ruby class performed really well in their class assembly last Thursday. Mrs O’Rourke and Mrs Grove were very proud of them.

Year 5&6 Football Match: This week the team played against Gillingham Wyke in the Davidson Cup. The football skill was great and it was a very close match but Gillingham just managed to sneak in an extra goal making the score 2:1. However, heads were held high and excellent sportsmanship was clearly demonstrated. Well done all.

Please look on our School website on www.bishopscaundle.dorset.sch.uk  for photos of these events.

Other items….

Christingle: This Thursday we will be celebrating Christingle at 2.30pm in Bishops Caundle Church. Please do join us for this very special event. The children will have decorated additional oranges for any younger siblings that are there.

Nativity Costumes: Mrs Regan and Miss Newman are very eager to ensure that we are organised for our Christmas Nativity. However, some children do not have yet have their costumes in school. Please can you ensure that all costumes are in school by Tuesday 29th December.

CaundleFrost: The White Hart Pub is holding a special Christmas event on Saturday 3rd December from 2pm until late.  There is a Christmas Fayre until 5.30pm, The Halsey Arms choir is singing at 6pm and at 6.30pm there is a Talent Show followed by live music until late.  Please contact Gale at the pub if you would like to take part in the talent show. A few of our children have already auditioned and have confirmed places in the show. Gale had asked for our Dance Crew to perform again but unfortunately Miss Scott is away that weekend so we had to decline this very kind invitation.

Here’s to a successful week.

Kind regards,

All Saints
