Book Character Dress up Day

Come dressed as your favourite book character*! The best dressed will receive a voucher to spend at the Scholastic book fair (see below).  Please refer to the following website for dressing up ideas. http://www.theguardian.com/childrens-books-site/gallery/2015/feb/16/what-to-wear-on-world-book-day-2015

Librarians will be visiting each class to talk about what Dorset Libraries have to offer families and to introduce new and exciting books to the children.

Books at Bedtime!  6-7pm

This is a wonderful evening where children are asked to join us in their PJs and onesies, accompanied by their bedtime bears or snugglies, and listen to magical bedtime stories and enjoy hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Parents who would rather stay (due to the event being only one hour long) are welcome to do so in the school hall where there will be the Book Fair to peruse,  a selection of books to share with any preschool children and a cup of tea! Stories will be read by staff in the classrooms and we kindly ask that only pupils at All Saints participate in this event unaccompanied by parents and / or younger siblings please. (The book fair detailed below will be open for this event!)

Wednesday 11th March

Scholastic Book Fair – Opening Wednesday Morning until Monday evening 16th March

The Book Fair will be open from 8.30 a.m. – 9.00 a.m. in the morning and again at 3.30 p.m. - 4.15 p.m. in the afternoon during the above period.

The Book Fair offers an inspirational and diverse selection of books for children, whatever their interests, helping to improve reading for all ages and abilities.  In addition, our school benefits from the Fair with commission books for the library and classroom.

You have already received The Children’s Book leaflet showing a small selection of the titles available.  Please come and visit the Book Fair to see the full range of hundreds of titles or you can order using the form on the back of the book leaflet.   Many thanks for your support.  Don’t forget, the more you spend, the more free books for your school!
