Home Learning in Topaz Class is set by Mrs Legg on a Monday/Tuesday.
Spellings
The children should bring home a spelling sheet on a Tuesday. It will list their spellings for the spelling test the following week, the number of which will vary each week, depending on what we are learning. The spelling sheet does not have to be returned to school (unless your child would really like to) but can be used to have a go at their spellings each day at home. Our spelling test takes place every Monday morning.
Red Home Learning Book
Each pupil in Topaz has a large, red Home Learning book. The focus of the learning in these books is usually maths-based and linked to our learning in class. Sometimes, if there is a special event or interesting topic we are covering, the home learning may be linked to our Creative Curriculum instead.
The red books need to be returned to school by Monday morning in order for Mrs Legg to mark, respond and set the next week's home learning. The children will bring their Home Learning books home again on a Wednesday.
